What Trump's new drug deals actually mean for patients.

## What Happened

The White House announced new agreements with nine pharmaceutical companies, bringing its total to 26 manufacturers under a "most-favored-nation" (MFN) pricing model. Under MFN, companies would offer certain outpatient drugs to state Medicaid programs at prices closer to what they charge in other wealthy countries.

## What's Confirmed vs. What Still Needs Proof

New agreements were announced — real policy, not a proposal. The administration projects more than $600 billion in savings over ten years, but the underlying contracts, covered-drug lists, and discount levels have not been made public, so neither figure can be independently checked yet.

'Access' to a lower Medicaid price is not the same as a lower copay.
